Internal Renovations at the Surgery

We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during phase 1 of our building works. We are now coming to the end of these works (ending on 22nd February 2026), and we will be moving into the second phase of the works. This means the area which will be worked on is changing. This change will be from Monday 23rd February 2026 and continue to Monday 23rd March 2026.

During this phase (phase 2), it will impact on access to the waiting area, the space we use for the administration work and some consultation rooms. As a result there are changes to the way we are working.

As we have seen with the first phase of the works, this will result in:

  • Our appointments – telephone first
  • Temporary changes to access routes and the waiting area
  • Reduced car parking
  • Increased noise and dust levels

More details are available below.

During phase 2 we will continue to be open as usual, and we will continue to put patient safety and care our highest priority. We are doing everything we can to minimise any inconvenience.

Appointments – telephone first

From Monday 23rd February our waiting area will not be accessible to our patients.  As a result we will be offering a telephone call first with a clinician. Following the telephone appointment, if the clinician would like you to attend the surgery this will be organised during the call.

We do appreciate this is a big change, and we appreciate your understanding during this phase. After phase 2 is completed, we will revert to our usual appointment system.

For our nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointment, these will continue to be face to face.

Reception and checking in for appointments

During this phase, we will continue to have a reception area. If you are attending the surgery for an appointment, please do come into the surgery as usual and check-in using our self check-in machine or at the reception desk. Once you have checked in for your appointment, the reception team will let you know where to go.

Patient waiting area

Our patient waiting area will not be in use during this phase, currently this will be from 23rd February to 23rd March 2026.

During this time, please check-in at reception, and they will direct you to where your appointment will be. Unfortunately, we will have limited seating, so the team may ask you wait in your car and our clinician will come and collect you.

Due to access through the surgery during this phase, once you have checked in at reception, you will be asked to go back outside and through an alternative entrance to your appointment.

Car parking

We continue to have reduced car parking during this phase. Please can we ask if you are able to park at the Sports Ground that would be helpful and it would leave the car park available to those that need accessible parking.

Our neighbours have also observed an increase of patient parking along the side street, which has in some cases resulted in cars blocking driveways. There is very limited safe parking in this area. We do ask that you try to refrain from parking within the cul-de-sac at the side of the surgery. Thank you for your understanding.

Increased noise and dust levels

Our builders are doing their best to minimise the dust and noise because of the building works. They are continuing to do the noisiest of works outside of the times patients are in the surgery.

We have observed at times the dust created is more than we would hope for. As a result we have asked the building contractors to ensure the areas they are working in are sealed off more thoroughly.

We will continue to monitor the noise and dust levels.

Thank you

We would like to thank our patients and the local community for your understanding during our renovation work.
